To be honest I don’t know what to make of this book. I liked learning more about chakras. I enjoyed the individual stories and the healing of the chakras. The experiences were wonderfully told and allowed me to gain a bit of insight into the people. My issue lies with Becca. When I got to one point in the book I was so angry at her that I wanted to slam the book by either not rating it or giving it a low rating. To me, what she did as a spiritual leader of sorts, had me so disappointed that I wondered if any of us were infallible to the whims of humanity.
Of course I then had to look at myself and wonder why I was being so judgmental about someone else’s tale. It’s because I’d gotten so engrossed in the story that I empathized with the characters. Now that’s some good story telling. So here I am reviewing the book.
Granted I really wish things had turned out differently for one of the characters and that Becca had handled the situation better, but that’s life, right?

The Chakra Diaries Becca Chopra 9781450531917 Books Reviews
All of the characters in this lovely book are so well developed and so real with all of their passions, hopes, dreams, desires, strengths and frailties, you keep thinking about them long after you have finished reading The Chakra Diaries. Becca Chopra has creatively crafted her colorful story so the reader is not just entertained, but also learns something about chakras in the balance.
The theme of the novel centers on Rebecca and her chakra workshop. Each of the seven major chakras is highlighted through the journaling of one or more of the workshop participants. So as you move through the book and each chakra level, you not only witness the physical, emotional and soulful experiences of each of the characters, but also benefit from the chakra-balancing insights and advice that Rebecca offers them.
I love that Becca used diaries as the medium for telling her tale, because they are so conducive to uncensored, tell-it-like-it-is, from-the-heart writing. And believe me, in The Chakra Diaries they deliver just that. Read it for yourself and enjoy!
I was totally drawn in by Becca's writing style. The characters and their individual stories gave so many examples of issues we deal with in life. The stories were artfully woven into beautiful expressions of connectivity to our "energy centers" or Chakra's.
Whether you are new in your understanding of the chakra's or just need a reminder of how we are impacted by life experiences, The Chakra Diaries should be on your to read list.

Being a Reiki Master and having my own practice...I could relate to all that the author was presenting.
The magic of universal energy awaits for mankind to experiment upon!
I loved this book. I loved everything from the cover art to the intertwined stories about the participants of Becca Chopra's Chakra Workshop, and the spiritual tips throughout the pages. I simply could not put it down. As the author of another book about chakras (CHAKRA POWER! How to Fire Up Your Energy Centers to Live a Fuller Life), I felt intuitively drawn to this book and immediately aligned with the energy, the stories, and the honest way it was presented. Reading the personal accounts of each of the people in this book allows you to see pieces of yourself and your own journey, and fully understand that we are truly connected and in this together. Becca Chopra, kudos to you. Many blessings.
It's interesting that I read this book first, because the Chakra Secrets goes into more detail about the author. Really, do yourself a favor and purchase this book, along with Becca's The Chakra Secrets. In any case, I related to the first character of the story most of all. Some of the characters I couldn't relate to but as the old saying goes, it takes all types of vegetables to make a soup!
The aspect I took away the most, is how much spiritual trauma affects so many other areas of our lives. It made me think that the average person is so quick to judge the behaviors and the body language of others, but does anyone really know WHY a person behaves or interacts with the world as they do? Sometimes, the person who seems weird, off-balance or guarded doesn't even know why they behave as they do. That's what the Chakra Diaries sessions were all about. The sessions were about what led the participants to find energy and spiritual healing, and how they came to learn more about themselves.
This is a great book for anyone who is new to the world of Chakra energy healing. The concept is presented in a way that is very accessible and relatable. The characters are all imperfect and yet all too familiar. The stories in this book could motivate the reader want to learn more about healing their Chakras, without beating them over the head with esoteric information.
